Alnwick is a market town in Northumberland, England, known for its rich history which dates to around 600 AD, picturesque landscapes, beautiful homes and vibrant community.

A rich history

Alnwick’s history goes back to the 7th century and is known for its historic castle which has been the ancestral home of the Percy family for over 700 years. The second largest inhabited castle in the UK, Alnwick has served as a military outpost, a college, a refuge for evacuees, and a film set.

The town is also home to Hulne Priory, which lies outside the town walls in Hulne Park, which was a monastery founded in the 13th century by the Carmelites, and a Royal Air Force distribution depot which was constructed in the town during World War Two.
